Completed garden walkthrough, Gloucester

A short handover walkthrough filmed on completion. Video shows things a still photograph cannot: how the falls run, whether joint lines stay straight across the whole area and how the paving meets the house, the fence line and the side passage.

01

Why film a walkthrough at handover?

Because it is the honest record. A single photograph can be framed to hide a bad edge or a dip that holds water. A continuous walkthrough shows the whole area in one take, including the corners and transitions most galleries leave out.

02

What should you look for in a paving video?

Watch the joint lines as the camera moves — they should stay straight and evenly spaced. Look at where paving meets walls, steps and gullies, and check the surface falls consistently one way rather than dishing in the middle.

  • Joint lines straight across the full run
  • Consistent fall, no dishing or ponding
  • Clean junctions at walls, lawn edge and passage
03

Do you film every job?

Not every one, but we record work regularly and are happy to film a handover walkthrough on request. It also gives you a dated record of the condition the job was left in, which is useful for any future guarantee discussion.
